Sooo, About Last Weekend…
Wowee, I had a good time last weekend celebrating Dan and my six-year anniversary being together (at Orlando Come Out with Pride Festival/Parade) and our first marriage anniversary last Sunday, October 16th.
I survived Pride Saturday and recovered Sunday. Yes, #pridehappens… and boy, it sure did! Many great memories, and it was so good to see the whole family (our chosen family) come out and play. Lots of laughter and good times.
Still Learning this Substack Thingy
I have been on this platform for a month and still love it. However, as I am learning by doing this, they keep adding wonderful features that make life much easier. However, my posting schedule has kind of been all over the place this past month as I am trying to settle into doing:
Two written posts a week (voiceovers for each post will also be podcast episodes). Going to attempt to have these posted regularly on Mondays and Thursdays. Sidenote: A BIG THANKS TO my friend Ben Patrick Johnson for doing the voice-over work for the podcast recordings).
The Weekend Edition post (Saturdays).
One Q&A video (Saturdays).
One exclusive to paid subscribers posts a week. (Saturday or Sunday)
That’s a lot of content to create outside of my day job! Lol. I don’t mind; it’s something I love doing and am passionate about. I truly hope it helps, encourages, and maybe even entertains.
Memoir Update
The memoir content editing process is still moving slowly as the lead person on the editing team deals with a series of hardships. She’s an amazingly *brilliant* person. I wouldn’t want anyone else guiding me through this process. I continue to send much love and positive energy to you, Martina.
One last thing…
I was going to make the Q&A videos exclusive to subscribers’ content, but I changed my mind as many of the questions that have come in need to be available publicly. I will still create exclusive content, but I can’t, in good conscience, keep Q&A-type posts “exclusive.” As I mentioned, this is quite a lot of work, so please become a paid subscriber ($5 a month or $50 a year).
